Nicole Rodriguez APRN

Lake Mary Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

With almost 20 years of experience caring for patients throughout Central Florida, Nicole Rodriguez joined the Florida Internal Medicine team in early 2019. As a compassionate primary care nurse practitioner, Nicole joins Dr. Ryan in providing the highest level of care to our patients. 

Nicole is a highly experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with over 24 years in the medical field. Licensed by the State of Florida to practice independently, she provides comprehensive primary care services tailored to each individual’s needs. Holding both a DEA and dispensing license, she delivers personalized and specialized healthcare with a holistic approach. Nicole began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Daytona State College/UCF and later her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from South University in Savannah, GA, where she graduated at the top of her class while balancing work and family life.

Throughout her extensive hospital career, Nicole worked in critical areas such as Neuro ICU, Cardio Vascular ICU, Multi-system ICU, Cardiac ICU, Flight Nursing, and the Emergency Room. She held certifications including Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and stroke certification, qualifying her to handle the most complex and urgent cases. Her depth of experience earned her one of Florida’s first Autonomous Practice Licenses for Nurse Practitioners. Nicole is passionate about treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and focuses on empowering patients by exploring the root causes of health issues and guiding them toward lasting wellness through individualized, compassionate care.

John F Ryan MD

Lake Mary Internal Medicine Doctor

With more than 40 years of experience serving patients in Central Florida, Orlando and Lake Mary, Internal Medicine doctor, John Ryan, MD, has experience diagnosing and treating patients since 1980. He currently sees patients in Lake Mary, FL.

Dr. John Ryan attended Downstate Medical School, State University of New York in Brooklyn, graduating cum laudein 1977. He trained in internal medicine (internship & residency) at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and was appointed Assistant Chief Resident in his third year. In 1980, following residency training, Dr. Ryan entered the US Army Medical Corps and served as a medical officer in Frankfurt, Germany, NATO Headquarters in Belgium, and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, attaining the rank of Major. In 1984, he joined Dr. Glen Davis in the private practice of internal medicine in Longwood & Lake Mary, Florida, and continues to this day.

As an internal medicine specialist in Lake Mary, FL, Dr. John Ryan has held an active license to practice medicine in the State of Florida since 1984.

Dr. Ryan was awarded board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1980, and is participating in Maintenance of Certification to continue competency in internal medicine. He is also an active Member of the American College of Physicians, the Florida Medical Association and the Seminole County Medical Society

Dr. Ryan is on the medical staff of Advent Health and Orlando Health. He has served in several medical staff positions in the past 30 years, including Chief of the Department of Medicine, Chief of Medical Staff, Chairman of the Board of South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Florida, and as a member of the Orlando Health Credentials Committee.

Awards received include Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and he has been recognized annually since 2002 by Orlando Magazine as a Top Doctor. Dr. Ryan is profiled in US News & World Report Health Care.
